Walcher Meßtechnik GmbH is accredited by the Deutsche Kalibrier Dienst (DKD/DAkkS) as a calibration laboratory in accordance with DIN EN 17025 for calibration in the area of pressure. It can calibrate absolute pressures of 0.25 to 20 bar and negative and positive differential pressures from 0 to 20 bar in gases.

Walcher Meßtechnik is qualified to issue DKD/DAkkS calibration certificates for a range of equipment, including differential measurement transducers, calibration devices for differential pressure, pressure regulators, transducers for measuring absolute pressure and portable manometers. The certificates are non-proprietary and totally independent of the equipment manufacturer. We also provide a recalibration service for all the above-mentioned products as prescribed in accordance with DIN ISO 9001.

The high-precision inspection, measuring and test equipment is recalibrated at regular intervals by the DKD/DAkkS and meets international standards.

During each (re-)calibration process, the laboratory temperature is maintained within the required tolerance of +/- 1 °C. The State Surveyor’s Office of Baden-Württemberg has determined the gravitational acceleration necessary to calculate the pressure to be 9.80796 m/s2.

The measurement uncertainty of the most accurate calibration device is 0.003 mbar or 0.3 Pa. This corresponds to a water column 0.03 mm high.

DKD/DAkkS calibration certificates are mainly used in measuring applications requiring high safety standards, for example, in the pharmaceutical industry or for medical technology. Pressure measuring systems can also be introduced in conjunction with the DKD/DAkkS certificate as company standards. These applications can only be realised using high precision equipment. The DKD/DAkkS-accredited calibration laboratory issues calibration certificates for positive and negative overpressures (pe) and absolute pressures in gases under the conditions quoted below:.
